So Barack won and the world didn't implode!! Can you believe it? I wish nothing more then for him to be the most amazing president ever!! The Lord knows we could use a great one. I for one am just glad it is all over and we can stop listening to the Democrats blame the Republicans for hurricanes and stop listening to the Republicans blame the Democrats for the drought! I believe God is bigger then the election..but I also believe that the change has to come from all of us as well! We spend too much, complain too much and blame too much! But that is just my opinion!
Anyway, God is good and has blessed my life so much. My sweet children are asleep tonight already. They sat up and watched the speeches with us last night. I can't believe that kids so young grasp that this was important...so I let them stay up a little later. I love watching history happen. The first African-American president!! What an amazing leap forward for our country. Now lets just pray he is ready for the job and prays to Jesus when he prays!

First time for everything!
I decided to throw my hat into the blogging ring!! I thought it would be a great way to keep a record of the daily blessings that God sends my way. I am so blessed with an amazing husband, fantastic children, warm bed, yummy food. He has provided for me at every chapter, every single page of my life and I want to make sure I remember it all to remember to thank Him for it! I also wanted a place to write down all of the sweet, funny, wonderful memories that happen on a daily basis that so quickly get erased in our busy lifestyle! Like yesterday when at the dinner table, out of the blue, little Jake said "Daddy! On Surf's Up, a shark ate a penguins butt...but not all of it!!" Now we don't allow our kids to say butt, but this was just to funny to even pretend to be upset with him! What made him think of it? We may never know but at that moment my whole family was in tears from laughing so hard...and it is moments like that that I don't want to forget...and I don't want to forget to thank God for those moments. We sat there for over an hour laughing and telling stories....these are my favorite times!
On another note...today is election day! Hope everyone gets out and votes. I know that God is in control and He has a plan regardless of who is elected.
Proverbs 3:5 ...Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
